JOANN KURTZ-AHLERS 

Hidden Doorways, a KAA Travel Collection discovers, develops, and represents the world’s most unique and unknown destinations and experiences as well as consults on the top travel products globally. 

Joann is the president and founder of Hidden Doorways Travel Collection. Before founding the company in 2002 Joann’s distinctive career saw her lead the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company’s global sales office as Vice President of Sales for 15 years supporting development and expansion to 62 properties. 

Considered one of the 100 most influential women in travel by Travel Agent Magazine, Joann is a trusted advisor to her clients and to leaders in the luxury travel industry. She brings a holistic view to the travel destinations and cultural riches that lie behind the world’s Hidden Doorways, now including the lure of Asia through partnership with Asia Concierge

MAUREEN KIM

Maureen began her career in the hospitality industry 18 years ago selling various markets and has specialized in the travel industry since 2007.  She possesses a strong sales foundation and level of professionalism that she consistently attributes to her tenure with respected hotels brands such as Park Hyatt and Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. 

Having represented hotels, resorts, safari camps, DMCs and other global luxury travel products around the world, Maureen’s wanderlust grows with every passing day. 

Today, with years of experience, she is proud to be a part of the team at Hidden Doorways that represent an extensive list of clients who offer the most exciting products in today’s market.

SALLY MARCHANT 

An inquisitive Sally uniquely combines a contagious enthusiasm and positive energy with a calm focus, determination and sheer drive to achieve results.

Her experience spans 20 years across both the industry and globe, bringing her professional know-how to sought-after DMCs, resorts, private villas, and luxury hotel chains to name but a few. Not only has she represented some of the world’s most prestigious travel brands in locations including Asia, Africa and Europe, Sally’s also a seasoned expert in successfully launching and establishing new luxury properties and brands to market.

She thrives on a challenge and her wealth of hands-on industry experience gives her an in-depth understanding into the unique challenges of the luxury travel sectort.

DAVID BRUCE

Straight after University, David set off with a one-way ticket to Bangkok telling his family he would be home for Christmas – he just didn’t say which one! 2 ½ years later he finally returned home after an unforgettable journey through South East Asia.

Turning a passion into a career then seemed a natural progression. Initially a senior member of the product team at one of the UK's largest leading tour operators, he developed their bespoke touring programme, which remains industry-leading to this day. 

A strategically driven salesperson with superb personal contacts across the industry, David’s reputation for detailed product and destination knowledge is exceptional. His experience and knowledge encompasses every continent and a huge variety of guest-experiences – from DMCs and boutique hotels to resorts, from wellness to luxury leisure, and everything in between.

AUSTRALIA / NEW ZEALAND

JOSIE HOUSE

Based in Sydney, Australia, Josie is a respected specialist in the world of meetings and events. With a distinguished career of over twenty years, Josie’s most prominent positions were as Senior Event Director for the CiEvents division of FCM, General Manager for Directions, one of Sydney’s most highly regarded events companies and, for 7 years, Regional Manager for one of Asia’s leading travel management companies.

Having executed programs for prestigious clients throughout the region, designed and escorted high profile familiarisation trips, and promoted and sold Asia for much of her career, there is little she does not know about the intricacies of Asia, and of the people behind the scenes.

If you don’t know Josie, then you are not in the industry!

AMY SUMMERHAYES

Amy began her career in travel back in the 90’s when she worked for wholesaler Major Travel in her home country of the UK.

As with many, worldwide travels saw her spend a long stint in Asia, culminating in a decision to lay down roots in Vietnam. In 2000 she began her foray in the world of destination management for a reputable firm that was leading the way in events and meetings in the country.

Her achievements led her to become known as the ‘Queen of incentives’ of Vietnam. After 10 years in Vietnam, a change was due and she migrated to Melbourne, Australia where she carved an equally impressive name for herself in the Events industry for ETM and Tribe.

Amy now rejoins many of her former colleagues as the Melbourne representative for Asia Concierge. We are blessed to have her on board!

LINDA BAUM

Based in San Diego, Lynda Baum is the Founder of Exclusive Destinations, recently rebranded CSI International, and also serves as Executive Vice President at CSI DMC. 

Lynda is a highly collaborative leader skilled at building and fostering internal and external relationships while advancing stakeholder initiatives. She drives both marketing and sales for an extensive portfolio of global destination partners that now includes the Asia region with Asia Concierge. Having decades of experience in selling Asia, Lynda is an indispensable resource for coordinating global meetings, incentives, and events ex North America.

BRITTANY RUSTMAN

Brittany is the VP International Sales for CSI International. At home in the high touch events industry, Brittany possesses an impressive skill set with a keen focus on customer service.

An accomplished professional, Brittany is well known for her positive attitude and engaging personality. Leading CSI International’s sales efforts, Brittany transcends cultural barriers, liaising with colleagues from Asia Concierge while working diligently to align clients with their desired results.
