An Unrivalled Journey 6 day / 5 night travel program PRIVATE TOURING

Phuket is the largest island and the most popular beach destination in Thailand – and for good reason. It offers tropical beaches, majestic landscapes, breathtaking viewpoints and countless activities to suit any style or taste.

We start our trip with the ultimate overnight sailing adventure on a unique luxury cruise through the limestone formations of Phang-Nga Bay towards Krabi. Beyond the shimmering emerald oceans and beautiful beaches, lies the charismatic, cultured side of Phuket Old Town which we combine with a short hike to the islands hidden viewpoints. Our final excursion leads us high up into the sky, viewing Phuket and its surrounding islands via private helicopter, stopping along the way at Koh Phi Phi.

Upon landing at Phuket International Airport, we drive to the Marina to board our luxury cruise for the ultimate sailing adventure.

Maha Bhetra is a traditional 90ft Thai-crafted wooden hull motor yacht, designed by Ed Turtle who famously defined the sleek style of the Aman Resorts. This unique wooden yacht holds three beautifully crafted cabins with modern amenities and a spacious open-plan- teak-laden saloon on the top deck.

If you feel like snorkelling or paddling in some of the densest and most diverse marine habitats in the world or simply relax onboard to watch the time go by while the boat takes us far and wide in the mighty Andaman Sea, we have you covered.

After a warm welcome and settling down, the Maha Bhetra starts its scenic cruising towards Phang Nga Bay.

Located between the Malay Peninsula and Phuket, Phang Nga Bay is one of Thailand’s most iconic destinations, blessed with magnificent views of sheer limestone karsts that jut vertically out of the emerald-green water, creating one of Thailand most picturesque views.

On arrival, our day begins with a short canoe trip to Koh Phanak which is home to hidden caves and beautiful lagoons. Then, we sail towards Koh Hong where we have another chance to take in the natural beauty around us. Koh Hong (Room Island) is a limestone island, surrounded by towering limestone walls.

Next, continue to James Bond Island, also locally known as Koh Ta-Pu. With its signature rocky pinnacle, the entire area surrounding this island is indeed a spectacular and mesmerizing sight.   Before the sunset, we venture to today’s last destination - a picturesque group of islands named Koh Kudu. Located near the northern part of Koh Yao Noi, it is part of Ao Phang Nga National Park and a must stop when heading south to Krabi.

Our yacht will dock in this area, and we can swim in the calm sea or enjoy the breeze at the cozy top deck. A sumptuous dinner is served on board before your comfortable cabin will bring you a peaceful night’s sleep.

In the early morning, our cruise navigates toward Koh Pak Bia where we will start our day with breakfast on board whilst taking in the magnificent views surrounding us. Koh Pak Bia is a popular destination for island-hoppers in search of a quiet place to spend time relaxing. The scenery here gives a real feeling of exclusivity and well-being in the natural environment of this tropical island.

After breakfast, we move on to Koh Lao Lading, also known as “Paradise Island”. With its tranquil inlets and small bays fringed by lush, foliage-draped cliffs rising out of the azure seas, Koh Lao Lading is the epitome of the beauty of the Krabi region.

Next, we visit Koh Hong, a get-away island on the Krabi coastline. What puts Koh Hong on top of many visitors’ itineraries is its breathtaking natural lagoon surrounded by majestic limestone formations, white-sand beaches and mesmerizing coral reefs with colorful fishes of various kinds. Here, we are given some time to swim in the pristine water, kayak to soak in the idyllic scenery, or hike to the viewpoint for spectacular views of the Andaman Sea.

During lunch, our yacht sails onwards to another fantastic snorkeling spot for underwater photography.

Anemone Reef and Shark Point are one of the top scuba diving and snorkelling destinations in Thailand. The areas are densely covered in colourful sea anemones, soft corals, and sea fans presenting the sea’s own version of a living carpet. The marine life on these dive sites ranging from the smallest cleaner shrimps to seahorses or ghost pipefish and on to an occasional big visitor such as turtles, leopard sharks, or even a whale shark.

The final stop of the day is Koh Khai, a group of famous tiny islands near Phuket’s east coast. Koh Khai has become popular for its sandy beaches and incredibly clear water with swarms of colourful fishes swimming around you.   When it’s time, we enjoy the last scenic moments at sea while observing the golden glimmering light is gradually painting on the water surface and take in the idyllic seascape of Phuket.

On arrival at the Phuket mainland, drive to your hotel for check-in thereafter.

Beyond the shimmering oceans and beautiful beaches, lies a charismatic, cultured side to Phuket which many visitors overlook. If unique architecture, incredible local dining, and authentic local lifestyle are of interest, then you shouldn’t miss the journey inland to Phuket Old Town.

Unlike other provincial capitals, Phuket Town radiates with personality and unique Peranakan culture.

The old part of the city is filled with historical buildings of classic Sino-Portuguese architecture which were constructed when tin mining was the city’s most prosperous trade.

Even though the mining industry no longer exists, the traditional way of life and charm from the past remains until today.   We begin by driving to Thai Hua Museum to learn how Chinese immigrants left their homeland and settled in Phuket to work in the mining industry. Their fascinating stories have become a part of Phuket’s history and evolved into a unique culture of their own. Next, we visit Woo Gallery & Boutique Hotel, a historical house living museum that allows us to step back in time.

We enter rooms with the original furniture and trinkets while listen how people lived generations ago. Then, it’s time for a hands-on workshop in making Phuket’s traditional sweet called “Ang Goo” before continuing to visit a blacksmith factory that is a historical landmark in Old Town Phuket.

At noon, we learn how to prepare a traditional Phuket lunch with the locals in the community. When the dishes are ready, we enjoy our freshly cooked meal while traditional music by the beloved blind musician, Anne, will be played alongside.

After lunch we drive to Three Monkeys, an authentic southern Thai café & restaurant in the most captivating spot in Phuket. Settled in the backdrop of lush jungle greenery with a stunning view of Phuket, Three Monkeys serves whimsical cocktails and a variety of drinks with their own natural touch.

We continue the drive to Wat Chalong, the most notable and holy temple in Phuket where locals and visitors alike pay their respects. The most recent building on the grounds of Wat Chalong is a 60-meter tall 'Chedi' sheltering a splinter of bone from Buddha. Walls and ceilings are decorated with beautiful paintings illustrating the life of Buddha, as well as many donated golden statues. It's also known for its pivotal and healing role in the fighting between Chinese secret societies (Angyee) in 1876.

Finally, we end the day at Pha Hin Dum, also known as Black Rock Viewpoint.

From the drop-off point, we take a short walk to the summit where you will be amazed by the sea views overlooking Koh Bon and Coral Island; if the visibility is good on the day, you will see all the way down to Phrom Thep Cape and Koh Kaew Yai.

Afterwards, we hike down the hill for about 20 mins onwards to Laem Krating Viewpoint. This newly discovered viewpoint is one of the best-kept secrets and lesser-known among other attractions on the island. On a clear day, it boasts mesmerizing panoramic sea views and an unbeatable sunset.   Enjoy a little break with our exclusive picnic setup while watching the sun setting down at the horizon.

Once finished, we return to our vehicle where our driver is waiting for us and return to our hotel thereafter.

Today, we will embark on a once-in-a-lifetime experience by taking a private helicopter to Phi Phi Islands, the gem of the Andaman Sea.

Phi Phi islands are an archipelago comprising 6 islands, with the two main well-known islands being Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh. Both are magnificently picturesque and delightful tropical gateways with impressive rock formations, pristine beaches, and vivid turquoise waters teeming with colourful marine life.

From a heliport in Thalang area, we fly above the east coast of Phuket. This scenic ride gives us an excellent chance to experience a bird-eye-view of Phuket and its surroundings, as well as numerous small islands along the way.

Prior to a landing, we fly over Bamboo Island, an island shaped almost like a heart and surrounded by a strip of white powdery sand. The beauty of Bamboo Island and the crystal waters are best appreciated from up the sky – a view that many never get to experience. Our flight will further pass over Phi Phi Leh (Maya Bay) before landing on Phi Phi Don where we will have time at leisure to swim, explore, or relax and soak in the views at the beach. Today’s lunch will be served at Saii Phi Phi’s restaurant.

Note: Depending on the tide, a private local long-tailed boat to Maya Bay can be arranged. Please contact your Travel Designer to discuss the arrangements.

Maya Bay is a stunningly gorgeous bay sheltered by 100- meter-high cliffs on three sides which became widely known after The Beach was shot here in 1999, making it an iconic attraction ever since.

There are many beaches that visitors can enjoy, although most of them are small. The main beach is around 200 meters long with silky soft white sand. The whole bay is one big reef, and it is home to colourful coral and exotic vibrant fish in exceptionally clear water. After our island exploration, we fly back to Phuket, enjoying scenic views along the way. Our private vehicle will then take us back to our hotel for relaxation. Tonight, enjoy fresh meals with zero-waste cooking techniques at a unique venue. The out-of-the-box 7-course dining journey paring with premium wine will perfectly end our memorable trip to Phuket.
